Please share your thoughts about your interviews today and your overall experience with Explore USC.

I’m headed to USC on Thursday, but I’m just wondering, did most people dress in business clothes for the first day of Explore USC or just for the interview? thanks

Would love to know, too. I’ll be there Thursday

From previous years I can tell you that everyone dresses casual and comfortable on day 1, nice interview clothes for the morning of the second day. BTW, the forecast is for rain and cool weather on Thursday. Make sure to pack an umbrella!

Great, thanks!

Hope everyone survived the Friday interview! Horrible day, weather wise, to be going to an interview wearing dress clothes.

quick question for those of you who had a scholarship interview: My stauts is back to “the committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision….” Does this mean my info regardings scholarship is coming in the mail or is this jus the leak that happened before for info about getting the scholarship interview?

mine is like that too. I had a trustees interview on the 28th. I just assumed it was a bug with the system. Back in late January it changed from “we have received all require info…” to “committee has acted upon”. Once I got my acceptance packet, it changed back to “we have received all required info” for several weeks. Now it’s back to “the committee has acted on”.

Not sure what’s going on but I hope it’s good news…

Mine says that too!! Crossing my fingers and toes for good news…

@veritasrmc and @dragonflymusic I am wondering if this status change happened to everyone who interviewed or if it means anything new

Anyone else who interviewed have the status change/ have the scholarship decisions been sent out early?

b

Also, did any of you get an invite to the Global Leaders Program? I’m worried…

They must have sent them out early because its the same notice we got when we received our admission early

@madbean or any1 else who knows a lot about this stuff do they ever send stuff out early? Because I know those who didn’t get the status change in January still don’t have it as of now

Getting back to the question about the experience with Explore USC, I am a parent and was unbelievably impressed by the entire event. So professional, with every detail attended to. Especially the first day. From check in, to opening session with admissions officers on stage/welcoming students from their states, to the marching band concert, through the academic meetings, the parents dinner with faculty and the student overnight, this was an amazing operation. I’ve been to plenty of accepted student events in my day but nothing even close to this. My son absolutely wants to join the Trojan family and prays he wins the scholarship so that can happen.
