This thread is quintessentially CC. The mean score of these posts has to be over 2200--not exactly the national avg of 15-something.

Of course I'd be the exception.

PSAT: 223 (80M 73W 70CR)
First SAT: 2150 (680M BOO 780W 690CR)

Yes I am miss inconsistency.

PSAT 11th - 226
SAT 11th - 2280

Reading 78 --> 730
Math 76 --> 760
Writing 72 --> 790

For the PSAT no prep, for the SAT I used RocketReview a bit and the Barron's Hot Words about a month beforehand, could have done more prepping though (I did a bit of one practice test).

PSAT 11th grade: 158 (CR 47 M 63 W 48)
SAT 11th grade: 1850 (CR 540 M 700 W 610)
for me it was a big jump but i did do a lot of prep.
hope to break 2000 by May wish me luck!

PSAT soph: 208
PSAT jr: 235 (80 M, 80 CR, 75 W)
SAT: 2230 (710 M, 760 CR, 760 W)
ACT: 34

Honestly, I think that if you scored quite high on your PSAT, you may want to try the ACT. That score is getting me a lot more attention from schools than my 2230 SAT.

213

2220

Hmm i think Psat has little to do with your SAT

I took the PSAT for the first time in my junior year and i got...1940

Math: 800
CR: 600
Writing: 540

After that, i spent winter break in a winter boot camp sat class (i know..) and an sat class that prepared for the March SAT. It was kinda expensive i guess, but in March i got a 2290

Math: 770
CR: 800
Writing: 720 (essay: 11)

Its really just how much time you put in and how many tests you do.

i got a 2100+ on the PSAT, and a 2280 on the real thing.
i got like 70+ on the individual ones (cant really remember)
and 800, 750 and 730 on the sections on the real SAT.

i don't really think its' a good indicator --- unless you go into the PSAT totally unprepared, then you can use it to gauge how much you have to prep for it.

219 (lol)
2320.

219
2260

No prep in between...

I didn't prep in between either; for me, at least, it was a matter of my mood / how tired (or not) I was.
I was like
YEEEHAAWWWW
on the actual SAT.

psat 11th: math 72, cr 80, w 64

first sat: math 700, cr 760, w 780

second sat: 760 math, cr 770, w 750

216 psat ----> 2310 sat superscored

10th grade PSAT: cr 80, m 70, w 72
11th grade PSAT: cr 79, m 72, w 73

(first) SAT: cr 680, m 740, w 730

I'm really miffed about the CR. My writing was right on track and my math is reasonable considering I'd been practicing/doing more math (I was quite pleased with the math actually. I hadn't expected to do quite that well.) I'm entirely miffed over the CR though. It's much lower than either of the PSATs or the practice tests I took.

133 Psat
1960 Sat
Lol

PSAT soph year 199
PSAT junior year 223
SAT 2250 (yuk) I thought i scored 2300 but the curves were weird. March SAT.

arc10791 : Congratulations on your huge improvement. What winter SAT bootcamp did you go to? Sounds like a great camp (in terms of score improvement that is).

198
201

204

2150

PSAT: 198
1st SAT: 2240

Sophmore PSAT: 198 (didn't care on writing, got a 60 on that)
Junior Year PSAT: 231 (75 M, 76 CR, 80 W)
SAT in December: 2210 (740 M, 740 CR, 730 W)
SAT in March: 2400 (800 M, 800 CR, 800 W)

My son got a 233 on his PSAT, no prep, didn't care. Got a 2010 on his first SAT...again, no prep, doesn't care. We'll see how he does on his second pass. I guarantee you no prep for that one either.
