How well-heated are the buildings?

Well, I was admitted as a transfer to Bowdoin. I think I am going. But I sort of dislike winter, so one major question: are all the buildings well-heated?

yes - some are heated too much and your window will be open all year long

Yeah, the buildings are fine...
Just as some unsolicited advice..were you the one also admitted to Pomona? The winters here are long and dark and cold, and if you don't like winter in the first place the harshness of them can be a little bit unsettling in terms of mental health/depression and stuff like that. I'm not a big fan of winter, either, and I had to learn about that stuff the hard way-- but I just thought I should mention this because the fact that you're warm doesn't necessarily make the winters any easier to deal with psychologically. Otherwise though, bring some sweaters and you should be just fine.

I can say that I have never been cold in my dorm room. Outside is a different story, but expect to be warm year-round indoors.

Actually, I was one who applied to Pomona, but found out today I was not admitted to Pomona. I would have gone to Pomona, but since that's not an option, I'm trying to pump myself up for Bowdoin. (they're both great schools, after all) Currently I've been doing winter in MA, and the seasonal depression thing has affected me a little bit, but I guess it's something I'm willing to try and put up with/adjust to for the sake of going to particular colleges. From what I've been told, Brunswick is not much worse than Western MA in terms of the length and severity of winter.

There's always west coast for grad school, hehe.

Ah, bummer, sorry you didn't get into your first choice..
I'm not from New England, so just the fact that the winter was so dark and long was depressing to me, I think. There's always lots going on though to help you get out of ruts if you're willing to look for it. And yes, I am with you on heading somewhere much warmer for grad school! I love Bowdoin though, so I can't complain
