How well will I do in high school?

Elementary school and high school are relatively different realms. Your GPA is relative to the classes you take, the school system you attend, your interests/requirements in high school. and numerous other factors. I commend you for thinking so far ahead but as of now, I’d say wait a bit until you enter high school to start dabbling in CC and enjoy the rest of your eighth grade year.

If you really want to prepare for high school however, when you become a freshman, find what interests you. Look into clubs at the high school you’re attending and talk to the ones that have come before you at that particular school. Otherwise, you don’t have much reason to be worrying about your GPA right now.

And as for testing, that comes later with time too. I know of classmates who practiced “test-taking” too early, aced these tests, and eventually dropped off later on because they felt that they were already ready but ended up bombing the tests. So wait until at least sophomore year to be worrying about such things. Enjoy your eighth grade year, cause you’re only going to live through that once and you have four years of high school ahead of you.
