My freshman year of high school I got two D's in Algebra I, an F on my midterm exam for Algebra I and two D's in Spanish I - all for individual marking periods. I came out with a final grade of a C- for both classes, I believe. Being that these D's aren't final grades, and being that they are from my freshman year, how much will these D's affect my chances of admission? If it matters much, I've picked up a lot since my freshman year, and have a UC GPA of 3.5 as of now - that, and I'm out of state. Reason why I ask is that it isn't possible for me to make up these classes with a letter grade - just pass/fail.

If they aren’t semester grades, and you got C’s for the final grades, then UCR will never see those Ds’

Say one semester grade came out to be a D, then - first semester of Algebra I. How much would that affect me?

idk bout freshman year, but in senior year…hell yea… trust me, i went through SO MUCH (not kidding) work to cover up a frikin d plus i got in english…

just get a c or higher in alg2 and u r good
