I'm applying to some of the top colleges such as Cornell, U penn etc. My ACT scores are 32, 28, 26

Although colleges say they will make the best case out of your scores, I don't know if it looks bad when your lowest score is 26. Do they really consider your highest score?

"Do they really consider your highest score? " Why wouldn’t they?

When did you get your 26? The first time you took it? As a Sophomore? It’s OK that you’ve improved. You might be eventually rejected for a wide number of issues that have nothing to do with your scores. Why worry about something that’s water under the bridge. Good luck to you.

25, 24, 34…26 composite, sigh. Test prep here we come. Looks like the SAT was better for shellz-son. I was hoping we’d luck out and not have to prep, but that darn math score just won’t cooperate on either test. My history-social science kid needs some serious help, but his scores do correlate well with his current math grades…so is it worth pushing for a higher ACT/SAT if he is only going to get a C in precalculus?

Btw, I heard some colleges will mix-match sub scores from both tests…use the best of SAT with the best of ACT. Fact or fiction?
