Basically I live in a British Overseas territory ( private message me if you want to know where exactly) and our school system is kind of weird if you go to a public school such as myself. From Year 7-11 is high school (US Grade 6- 10) then you have the option of finishing the next 2 years at different institutions ( depending on your grades achieved in Year 11) because public high schools only go up to year 11 ( grade 10).
So my grades were pretty good so I obtained a scholarship to attend a private high school . The way the scholarship works is that the first year is full tuition ( including books) but the second year is partial tuition depending on grades. I am eligible for $7000 out of the full $12,000+ tuition ( excluding books which are about $200+) How will I get this money? You don’t have to pay it all in one go but its still a lot monthly for my single mom with 3 kids! I have attempted private organizations ( 1 actually has a program for these cases but I fear they won’t cover the full balance of $5000+). Most of the other private organizations have specific scholarships/grants limited to university students or degree specific
Any ideas? Any international scholarships available? It would be easier if I were a college student but this is still high school and I won’t be attending college until Fall 2017 ( that’s a whole different story) HELP someone!
Can you ask the school for more aid?
Do you have a summer job?
Can you ask your father to help out?
Before you were accepted to that school - what was the plan for paying? Where did you think the money would come from?
