How will Submitting all Scores Affect my Chances?

Hey All,

I am planning on applying to the Dyson school @ Cornell, and feel comfortable on most parts of my application except for my SAT scores. My highest is a 1480 (E 690, M 790) which just meets the average Cornell SAT score from last year. However, I understand that Cornell is a send ALL score school, which means I will have to send in my others SATs. I have taken the test a total of 4 times, which each score listed with respect to the order that I took them in:

1410(650,760), 1440(680,760), 1480, 1380(650,730)

I would have been fine with sending in the first three, since they indicate improvement, however, I tried to raise my score even more but ended up dropping a whole 100 points!
How do you think the admissions committee would consider score(s), but also the total number of times I took the test?

Any response would be greatly appreciated! :slight_smile:

SATII Scores(If it helps):
Math 2: 790
US History: 740

You probably should’ve stopped after the third time, but can’t change anything now.

Does Cornell want to see SAT II Scores? I saw on their website they don’t require it

@VeritasFicta
It depends on the School you’re applying to. some specific tests are required for some specific major. for example, If you’re applying to major in engineering you MUST send a math test and one science test at least to be considered for admission at the school of engineering.

Hi, I don’t think it will affect your chances of admission! I was recently admitted this past month, and there was a drop in my SAT scores as well. I don’t think it will severely hurt your chances at all

Thanks for the feedback eveyone! I ended up submitting them anyways.
Now all there is left to do is wait…
