How do you guys think this will affect Bulldog Days?

That is really unfortunate. I hope it doesn't in a major way.

they didn't let science grad students vote (who overwhelmingly do not support the strike) nor did they actually release the figures of the vote to strike. They are so shady, and they are screwing over undergrads next week, the last week of classes before reading period. Truly tasteless, profoundly unethical, irresponible... they should be expelled.

So I take it you think their concerns are not valid?

In any event, I can't think it will upset the routine that much at Yale, since, unlike at the hated Harvard (we are told), all classes at Yale are taught by full professors only!

According to the Daily News,
[quote]
[Graduate School Dean Jon] Butler said his office will continue discussions about the upcoming strike with department chairs and directors of graduate studies to ensure that course instruction continues for undergraduates.

"The Graduate School intends to handle this in a low-key, commonsensical fashion," Butler said.

I don't think it should be too much of a distraction - I'm just hoping the protesters don't frighten my mom. :p

vivaldi87, lol

" Local 35 President Bob Proto, who spoke at GESO's membership meeting, said his union, which represents the University's maintenance and service workers, will "absolutely" join GESO in its strike next week.

"We're very proud as locals that know sticking together moves you forward at Yale," Proto said. "We're very proud to be allied with this courageous group of teachers who are actually making history right now."

and Byerly, why do you have to rub Harvard in our faces now? We didnt ask about harvard, this post is not about harvard, and, to tell you the truth, CONTRARY to what you might think, RIGHT NOW WE DONT CARE ABOUT HARVARD!

I'm serious - my mom is very paranoid, and I think protesters would really worry her. :)
