How will these ECs look on my Application?

<p>WOuld these ECs look appealing to Stanford/Ivies?</p>

<p>Handball Team - Founder (9-12)
Georgetown CounterIntelligence Camp (When I rose to sophomore)
NSLI-Y Russia (While I was rising to Junior)
Varsity Debate (9 I was novice - 12)
Model UN (9-12)
Self studied A LOT FOR Network Security/Hacking
Learned Objective C, created App Company with my brother, made 2 (rather cool) apps
Volunteer @Track camp during summer
Alternating VP/President all four years</p>

<p>So long as you are not sitting on the couch playing computer games, ANY extracurricular’s will look good to Stanford and the Ivies. What you need to understand is that colleges such as HYPSM look at your EC’s to see what you have done outside of the classroom, and they want to see that you’ve taken advantage of all the resources available to you. One EC is not more appealing than another – all of them are good. <p>The question about impressive EC’s comes up regularly on the forum. There is a thread with several posts by Northstarmom, a Ivy alum interviewer, about what constitutes impressive ECs from the point of view of the most selective colleges. <p>As you will see from that link, at the most selective colleges they are looking for depth more than just participation. Stanford, for example, says
