How Will You Spend Ivy Day 2015?

I am going to work, even though it’s a national holiday, to distract a bit

I just got into a school that I’d be just as happy (if not more happy) to attend than any of the Ivies I applied to so I won’t be stressed at all tomorrow. If an Ivy accepts me, I have a great decision to make it. If not, I have a great school to go to.

Good luck to everyone else, btw!

I’ve already been accepted to some amazing schools, but there’s a few Ivies that I’m really hoping for an acceptance.
Either way, I’ll be at a great school next year. But it doesn’t mean rejections will hurt any less!

I will be struggling through my classes until 4 and then trying to find out how to waste that agonizing hour before decisions are released.

I’ve had several rejections and waitlists, but I’ve also been accepted to some amazing schools! Rejection will be tough again tomorrow (especially a likely 5 in a row), but I know I’ll be happy no matter where I end up. Good luck to all

I’m on spring break…so probably spending a lot of time at the barn. I’ll make sure the pony sports her cornell red polos and pad tomorrow, just for luck

@purpleroan as a fellow equestrian I wish I could do that but since I live in Japan the results come out at five in the morning so…unfortunately the barn is not an option :disappointed:

I will be working. My shift starts at 5 so I have no idea if I’ll sneak away to peek at my rejections or just wait till 9.

I’ve already been accepted to Davidson and Emory though, so I won’t be TOO heartbroken.

It just so happens that I will be in Madrid, and because of that, I won’t learn until I wake up on April 1st. I will check if I got, put in my headphones, blast the Chopin and spend the entire day walking around Art museums. My mood and reaction to the art will of course be dependent on the content of the decisions, so I imagine it will be a very, very interesting day either way. Good luck to all!

@borntofly1217‌ nice to meet another equestrian! Wow, five in the morning, that’s rough…perhaps you’ll be able to go later on in the day and wear red in celebration instead?

I’m bored in class. Please can it be 5 pm already :frowning:

@Esat936 so you must be going to sleep very early then, considering the fact that the results are being posted at 11 p.m. Madrid time…

@addish Well it’s on a school by school basis. Brown said 5:30 Pm, and the rest 5 PM at the EARLIEST which means some may release and other may not at that exact time. Considering I’m an international, times are even more likely to fluctuate, so I’d rather just doze off and check it all in the morning.

Good luck on the decisions everyone! I’m a junior and I’m already excited for this day in 2016.

Its D-day boys!!! Only two hours separating us from our decisions…

Best of luck to all of you. It’s truly been an honor to learn about the application process side by side with such extraordinary and brilliant candidates. You will all go on to do great things, whether it’s at an Ivy or some other remarkable school lucky enough to have you as one of its students. Good luck! I’m rooting for all of you! And always remember that what was meant to happen, will.

2 hours left.
Good luck everyone, we’ll make it through this

CC hasn’t crashed yet lol. 1 hour and 30 minutes :-/

I’m spending it chilling outside. The universe (aka the admissions people) already knows if I got in or not. There’s nothing I can do to change what happens in an hour so I might as well enjoy the weather

I think it’s crazy when some of you talk about the widespread tension/nervousness in your school brought about by Ivy Day. At my school, (large public) there’s about 7 out of 500 of us who actually know what it is.

At my school of 2000 in Ontario, Canada, I’m the only one applying. Which puts the whole spotlight on me #:-S

Junior here, thus I’m simply a spectator, but I’m rooting for all of you!! Whatever happens 15 minutes from now, know you all of course did your very best, and most importantly, the college you go to does not define you or your ability to succeed. Even if the alternative is going to a community college, it’s drive, dedication, and innovation that ultimately leads to success and happiness. So don’t get yourselves TOO down if you weren’t accepted to the overglorified Ivy of your dreams! And by all means, go out and celebrate if you were. Best of luck, all the same.
