how worried should I be?

I got a messsage yesterday from Vanderbilt that my recommendation letters have not came in. I was puzzled because I had told my teachers the deadline. So I went to one of my teachers and he simply said he would have it off by the end of the day. I am not sure why he had not sent it in earlier and did not see the point in confronting him about it or asking why. My other teacher I talked to said she sent it about a week ago. Is this going to be an issue as far as my application with my letters coming in so late?

Check out the latest update from Vandy Admissions Blog- You are fine!

Having the EXACT same issue. Vandy said both recs were missing, one teacher hadn't sent it in, other teacher sent it in a while ago.

are you doing ED2 or RD? And did you get the message through email or snail mail. Just wondering.

you shouldn't worry...especially if you applied rd....as long as your application is in on the date, it is fine...i might be worry if you applied ed2....cuz they are working on it now....but don't stress it....

read the blog mentioned earlier. I called earlier this week and was told I was missing items, but Wednesday, they sent everyone who was misisng items an email. Just send it in ASAP, and you're fine.

hey thanks for the replies i applied RD so i am much more relieved
