I’m a good math student who wants to double major in Stats and Econ; however, I’m not the greatest with reading and writing, and especially on standardized tests. I got a 2000 on the SATs, but it was a 770 math, 630 reading, and 600 writing. A 2000 isn’t spectacular, but if i apply to colleges as a stats major, would they look at my score more highly because of my greater math scores?
It will depend on the college but probably.
Some colleges only really pay attention to reading and math so your CR+M score is a 1400. Not bad but still not spectacular depending on where you apply. If you want to apply to the big name scores, you should get the reading up.
