i am a freshman in a CUNY college
my 1st semester grades are in.
i got one D in a General education class and 2 B's
how would the D affect me when i transfer to "university of albany"
should i retake the course? if so, will the D be expunge and the new grade replaces it?
i read that college looks at "trend/improvement" more.

what is the highest possible GPA i can get by the end of my sophmore year?

You would have to check with your school for their policy. At my daughter’s school up to 4 Ds can be retaken and the grade will be replaced. But the original grade still appears on the transcript, it just is not included in the computed GPA. Grades of C or above are averaged with the new grade if a class is retaken.

oh ok. thanks for the quick response. ill check with my school.

EDIT- i’ve just recently register for my 2nd semester classes and one of my class happen to be the class i dropped my first semester (precalculus)

i got a W for that class but i want to retake it this coming semester. however, when i register for that class online, i get an error?

These questions about logistics of registration and grade policy are not ones we can answer on this forum. You need to check your own school’s website or contact your registrar’s office.
