<p>Northstarmom unlike the other kids who are doing an american program, I was doing a french program which is a big difference. Not only was it not in my language but it incorporated the French Curriculum along with the American one and this was for the French Baccalaureat.</p>
<p>Then, presumably your GC will enclose an explanation of your grades. In addition, presumably you'll get excellent grades this year now that you're back using your native language in school. Finally, presumably, you'll write essays that demonstrate what that year abroad meant to you and how you're applying those lessons now that your back in the states.</p>
<p>And given all of those things, yes, you'd have a shot at Ivies. I won't estimate the chances though because I am like others who post here here: I don't have a crystal ball nor am I an Ivy adcom with complete control over admissions decisions.</p>
