How would colleges/univiersities view AP credits?

Will they associate it with a GPA point or will they give you a letter that means NO GPA and you receive the credit?

In UVA, and I believe this would be standard practice everywhere else, you get advanced standing credit (it’s marked as advanced standing) but no GPA associated with it.

It’s really useful for getting early upperclassman privileges tho!

differs from college to college–I think College board’s website has a lot of college profiles including info on their AP policies

It would be ap.ca for Canadians. I was wondering what the letter grade would be?

I’ve seen a lot of schools do it as
5- A
4- B
3- C

But all are different, since 5’s on some exams may earn you 6, not 3 credits.

That’s really frightening.

On the other hand, if it were balanced with the ability to self-study for AP exams while as a college student, it could be completely cool.

And oh yeah, entering school with a 4.0 GPA and 43+ credits behind it, would rock, I suppose.
