I've gotten many B's in AP classes in high school. I am a senior currently. My school is extremely difficult. However, on most of those AP tests I have gotten 5's. I also have good SATII scores to back that up.

Would colleges view the B's less critically? Would they view it as an A?

A Harvard Admissions counselor told me that if you get a high score on the AP but a lower score in the class, that indicates that the class was hard, and if you get a high score in the class but score low on the AP, that indicates an easier class.

This is good, because I KNOW I'm getting a B (if I'm lucky) in World History, but I'm sure that with some good studying, I can get a 5 on the exam.

My son got a few Bs and still got into Duke, Brown and Yale. He received 5s on his APs in those subjects - so maybe the schools realized his teachers were tough graders (or maybe that was acceptable while taking 6 APs).

You should be fine man... a 5 is basically saying that you learned the stuff!
Especially if you're taking a lot! I took 6 APs junior year and 6 senior year and got a lot of A-'s & B+'s.. but got 5's on many of those.
(Even though senior year was kinda.. lol.. I don't need to go to class anymore..)

Yeah Bs aren't really going to kill you, unless that's all you get ever....even one C probably won't be a deathkiss, depending on the circumstances.

It might just mean you had a teacher who really gave you a challenge and also happened to do a good job prepping his students for the test, as evidenced by your getting a 5. I don't think it's negative.
