How would I go about getting a 200,000 dollar loan?

???

Why do you think MA publics are shabby? That’s not true.

I know that you’ve only attended private K-12 schools, so you may have an “anti-public” school feeling, but univs aren’t the same. What don’t you like about any of the UMass’s.

Did you apply to any UMass’s? Did you visit any UMass’s???

Don’t like the chance to take classes at Smith and Amherst, from UMass Amherst? Or don’t know about these opportunities?

my parents only let me apply to UMD. I really just don’t care for it. Has a lot of crime and stuff.

^^^Lucky for you, there’s no crime around a stripper pole. ;)

and anyways as a whole the MA public K-12 schools are some if not the best public schools in the country

“I only got a 1770 but my GPA is a 4.14W/3.67UW. I actually got at least 8 merit scholarships, and most of them were 15-20K annually. It’s just that all of the schools are at least 50K or more.”

Are you just trying to game us? How do you have 8 scholarships if you only could apply to 1 school?

“my parents only let me apply to UMD. I really just don’t care for it. Has a lot of crime and stuff.”

??

Is that UMass Dartmouth?

Why would your parents only let you apply there?

How much are your parents going to pay each year towards college? If you haven’t asked them, please do NOW.

something is odd…If your parents aren’t paying, then WHY WOULD THEY HAVE A SAY as to where you apply or go to college?

And if your parents have a concern about crime, and you’re listening to them about UMass schools then what the heck do you think they’ll say when you tell them that you’re doing exotic dancing???

And…if you’re afraid to be around crime…what the heck do you think is going on around strip joints?

Frankly, If you are on the autism spectrum, then much of this is because of your limitations to understand the big picture. If you want to avoid crime and the “criminal element” then you need to stay blocks away from “exotic dancing”.

How much will your parents pay each year towards college? ASK THEM!!!

"Plus, it probably helps that I’m a blood relative of the guy who basically invented film excellence.
"

What the heck does that mean? And, with those connections, why can’t you just go anywhere and then work for him?

Still wondering what “film excellence” is? My brother has an Emmy award. Is that TV excellence? ;)

This is the same person who won’t live at home unless the gardener and maid are re-hired and now she’s going to be stripper to play her loans. I love watching trolls.

And this is the same poster who claims she was accepted at THIRTEEN colleges already but only one is affordable. But she also says she plans to apply to an instate school in addition. Wonder if she has?

ETA…ally kitty also claims she applies to some SAT optional schools where she got HALF FULL RIDES. Clearly even these schools have much less a net cost than Emerson which gave her NADA.

Ally…please tell us the truth. Did you get 1/2 FULL rides anywhere? Because at most private universities, that would be in the $25k to $30k range per year.

^^
I think she may have gotten a half tuition scholarship. Many people wrongly think that’s a half-ride.

We didnt even take out that big of a loan to buy a house.

^^^

That puts this into perspective. And you get to live in your house for decades. :)

I think these stories are real…and there seems to be one just about every year. She knows she’s not able to get a $200,000 loan. Hopefully she’ll quick apply some places her family can afford or UMD will be her new home in the fall.

UMass Dartmouth will be her home! When I see UMD, I think University of Maryland.

You know…there is NOTHING WRONG with UMass Dartmouth, and it’s affordable.

I don’t know what “stuff” is, but to say U Mass Dartmouth is in a high crime area is laughable.

I don’t think OP is the naive one lol

This is not even funny, ■■■■■ or not.

OP posted at Emerson forum

In this list only LMU and Emerson are known for film programs. I just cannot imagine all this screenwriting thing is for real.

And out of curiosity I googled these colleges. They are all located in different states and have almost nothing in common, except that they are private, small and not very selective ( Umass Dartmouth excluded)…
Are they these colleges that mail letters with application waivers and promises of guaranteed small scholarships if you apply?
Just wondering…

^
I’m guessing that the parents want her to attend a small private. Looks like a number of these may be Catholic schools. I think she goes to a Catholic High school, so likely these schools may recruit there.
