i'm currently taking ap calculus & im struggling, but my final grade for the semester won't be released until AFTER jan 21 (by that time, i would know unc's decision). how much would it affect me if i do poorly in calc? bc i know they request the midyear grade.

thanks! meanwhile, im gonna try really hard :/

Your midyear grades shouldn’t affect your decision if you applied EA, becasuse you would know if you were accepted or not by then. If you’re accepted, you still have to send in your midyear reports, and unless your grades are horrible (failing), then you shouldn’t have much to worry about.

@Harambee Thanks! Not that I have a D (but i’m scared of one), how will that affect the decision?

^If you get a D for calc this semester, and you applied EA, it shouldn’t affect your decision at all. I’m in the same boat, and that’s one of the reasons I applied early, because I knew I might not make the best grades this year.

If you’re accepted and your grades start slipping too much, they could rescind your application

I would try my best to raise that grade up to atleast a C.

I think a D can be a bit too risky…

why does AB calc have to punish us so?! It’s our senior years :(

oh well, complaining won’t get us anywhere will it.

@ Laxrox908, i KNOW. ap calculus is killer. if it makes you feel better, i heard bc was easier (:

I don’t think you should be concerned about a C. A D is scary though. Don’t get a D Lol
