How would one show to a college in the application that they self-studied AP exams?

Since you don't send them until you get accepted, is there a special misc. field for that or do you include it in your essay?

Certainly a fulfilling experience.

bump. I would like to know this as well.

well by taking the test,

and if you’re doing it senior year incorporating it somewhere in your essay, like you said

I’m not sure if this was the correct way to do it, but I just had my guidance counselor send in a copy of my score report with my transcript.

Agreed…if you give them a score report and they see that you didn’t take the AP class in school, it “proves” that you did it self-study. Having it come from the guidance counselor is a good idea.

So you send in a transcript to all the schools you’re applying? I thought you just filled inthe Common App with your stats and THEN send an official transcript for verification.

Thanks for the clarifications

Not all schools use common app. 2. My private HS has its own transcript formatted on letterhead that gets sent to every school you apply to as per my school’s preferred way of doing things.

And yes, I sent in a black and white copy of the AP report with a packet addressed to the office of admissions that also contained my transcript, LoRs and counselor’s rec.
