So I’m entering my junior year of high school, and I am enrolled in the MdA program at a local college. It will occupy my three morning classes through the rest of my high school career, so I will only have one elective through graduation. My honors classes will consist of pre-calculus, calculus, and physics. Maybe honors economic studies? So there’s that. Maybe I could take robotics two? Lots of things are changing at my school, and that’s about all I know. So how would this help/hurt my chances at getting into AFA?
What’s an MdA program?
Medical Assistant
As long as you are taking the suggested HS curriculum, I can’t see it being a problem. However…if you are not taking the suggested classes…then USAFA may have some questions about your academic preparation and ability to handle their required courses. Just curious though…if you are interested in receiving an Appointment to USAFA or the USNA, why are you taking classes to become a Medical Assistant?
Take Challenging Courses
These suggested courses cover all four years of high school and will give you a very solid academic record. Remember, these are only our suggestions — you might need to modify them for your own situation. We give special consideration to students who earn excellent grades in honors and advanced placement classes.
