I'm updating this because I have decided to change my rankings a little bit.
I'm adding LACs but am only keeping at Top 50.
This is only based on undergrad quality- so I give a lot of smaller schools a boost in the ranking. 23 LACs and 27 national universities.
Many including UVA and Michigan have MUCH stronger grad programs than undergrad.

Sounds about right to me! (Considering I go to HMC)

Instead of giving us your ass, let's hear your argument.

Harvey Mudd is ranked in a tie for #1 LAC selectivity with Pomona by USNWR. Pomona is as selective as Ivies such as Columbia and Brown. So yes, Harvey Mudd should probably be around 5-15th on a list for pure selectivity. Undergrad quality is much more subjective, but I would say that Mudd is top five in quality among tech schools. It's hard to compare where it would rank overall among universities since it is a tech LAC.

The "LOL, Harvey Mudd" bs on college confidential has become cliche now.

Here are the national universities I would consider to be in the Top 27 in terms of undergraduate education quality.

Harvard, Yale
Princeton, Caltech
MIT
Stanford, Dartmouth
Columbia, Duke
Penn, Chicago, Brown, Rice, Wash U
Northwestern
Notre Dame
Cornell, Johns Hopkins
Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, Tufts
Vanderbilt
Emory, UC-Berkeley
USC, Brandeis
William & Mary

JHU is definitely as prestigious and academically selective as UChicago, Northwestern, WUSTL, and Cornell. How is Johns Hopkins any less than UChicago, Northwestern, WUSTL, or Cornell for Christ sakes. They are each equally prestigious and academically selective schools. No one has even heard of WUSTL anymore than Northwestern, UChicago, or JHU when they applied to college.

^ My parents would not have let me attend WUSTL (unless I got a scholarship) because they never heard of it but the others were a-ok!
