How would you rank the schools I applied to

i am assuming this is undergrad? and if so, why are so many of you ranking indiana before bc?

NYU/Mich
UNC/Emory
Georgetown
BC/Indiana/PennState
Rutgers

rank them accordingly to placement into the more lucrative fields such as ibanking or consulting

applied late to michigan so that is out of the picture(ross is too risky to apply to as a sohomore in college)
tcnj- eliminated because they gyped me of like 20k of scholarship money
penn state- never applied

so from the remaining schools: rutgers(in), indiana(in), unc(unofficial but i got a letter kissing my ass so assume in), NYU, Emory, BC, Georgetown

ranking according to job placment

the general idea is that NYU, Ross(didnt get in), and Georgetown are on the top of the list. In the likely situation i get rejected from Gtown and STern, what would be my next best option? i will most likely get into Boston College and Emory. I already got into UNC, Kelley, and rutgers. rank the rest in terms of job placment(IB)

Go to NYU, cuz newyork city is the shizness

next best is emory.

hotasice is completely right...in terms of overall quality in all business disciplines gtown isnt as good but if u want to go into ibanking gtown is as good if not better than all of them..a goldman sachs rep recently spoke at gtown and said that it is their number 3 target school (i would assume after harvard and wharton)

after nyu, ross, and gtown, how would you rank the schools(unc chapel hill, BC, rutgers, Emory) in terms of IB recruitment

apparently everyone seems to hold Michigan Ross in higher regard than Georgetown.

no one seems to notice that Michigan ross is pretty much tied-and-strapped to the Midwest job market, whereas G'town is pretty oriented toward Wall Street.

Do you really want to get a biz degree to work in the Midwest in industry for some dead-end mammoth industrial corporation full of bean-counting accountants? i mean, unless you are one of the rich folks down by Lake Forest?

okay i will make my question explicitly clear this time.

i got rejected from ross applied late
it is very likely i will get rejected from stern and gtown

out of the other four schools i will likely or have already gotten in, rank them in terms of IB recruitment

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (Kenan Flagler)
Emory University(Goizueta)
Rutgers University
Boston College(Caroll)

close this thread

i got into NYU Stern

unless you think i should go to another school i applied to, dont post anything

University of Phoenix.

^ Great School.

Ross actually sends just as many (actually a little more) to the Northeast as they send to the Midwest. That's a significant number when you consider that there will obviously be people wanting to stay in the Midwest. Also, it's not like Chicago doesn't have the BB IB's, trading shops, and all that good stuff.

I don't know if you actually believe what you said or if it is your bias speaking, but you shouldn't feel the need to slander another school to feel better about Gtown; it's a good school.

Michigan might have more students from the NE than any other school in the country (outside of the NE of course.) It's no wonder so many Ross grads end up back east.
