For Business Admin/Econ/Business Econ (i.e. Business Friendly Schools)…My Preference

Cal

UCLA

UCI (Business Admin Major here)

UCSD

UCR (Because of the Business Admin Major being present)

UCD

UCSB

UCSC

UCM

In General (Academics):

Cal

UCLA

UCSD

UCD (You could argue UCI here and UCD at #5)

UCI

UCSB

UCSC

UCR

UCM

UCLA ( i rank the first becux i got accepted first)
UCB ( the town suks the most!!!)
UCD ( the town is quiet and a good study environment)
UCSD ( bored campus life ever!!!)
UCSB ( party school, ppl dont focux on school work)
UCI ( no idea…)

1) Cal
Always wanted to go to Cal. Didn’t apply this time because I knew I wouldn’t get in, but I’ll work hard wherever I end up going and I’ll shoot for grad school.

2) UCSD
Top choice right now. Pending. Love the city, love the campus, love the weather. Only downside is ridiculously high housing prices (I’m thinking of The Village)

3) UCLA
Grew up taking field trips to UCLA campus and wanting to go there. A lot of my family are UCLA alumni. It’s a great school, beautiful, and I grew up in LA county so it gets a +1 just for nostalgia.

4) UCD
probably where I’ll end up going. Don’t like the ruralness, hated the campus, don’t like the college town thing, but academically it’s better than UCSC and UCR which are the other UC’s I’ve gotten into. Can’t think of many pluses right now. Go Aggies?

5) UCR
I know, surprising that it’s so far up the list. But it’s 40 minutes away from where I live now and two of my good friends live there. And I kind of like the city of Riverside actually. And I know their English program is pretty decent, so yeah.

6) UCSC
very pretty campus. Lots of stoners. Kind of far away from everything though.

7) UCSB
I ranked it lower cause I don’t think I’d really fit in there, total party school and everyone looks like models and I hear it’s totally Greek dominated. And it’s all beachy I don’t like beaches much.

8) UCI
I can’t stand Irvine. It’s boring and lame and I don’t get a sense of personality from it like I do in SD or LA or Berkeley and Davis. It’s like a fake city. Too clean. I have a lot of family in Irvine and I never see them because I don’t ever want to go up there. On the other hand, it’s a good location, close to everything in LA.

9) UCM
I don’t have to explain this one do I?

Hahaha, UCSB is probably the LEAST greek dominated UC. Very few people see it necessary to join a Frat/Sorority because its so easy to find a party without them.

And just because UCSB parties, doesn’t mean they don’t focus on studying. That’s just stupid.

@DrAhamuda Uhhh, I have nothing against partying. When did I say that? I just don’t think I’d fit in at UCSB knowing the kind of people that go there.
