Cal > UCLA > the rest don’t matter.

rest are a crapshoot

in order I would attend

UCSB

UCSC

UCLA

UCD

UCB

UCI

UCSD

UCM

UCR

1) CAL

2) UCSD/UCLA (trade off between academics and location- not a big la fan)
4) UCSC
5) UCSB/UCD
7) UCI/UCR
9) UCM

@enchantedivy: I was actually referring to the post before you when I said the stuff about partying. Nothing against you.

@solidblu: I also heard Cal was pretty big on it. And my friend who goes to UCLA said like all the girls join sororities.

Oh, and as for this thread, like most UC rankings posts, its pretty stupid. If you’re basing it solely off overall academics, it goes like this:

1) Berkeley
2) UCLA
3) SD
4-6) SB, Irvine, Davis, in no order
7) SC
8) Riverside
9) Merced

Obviously, some schools are better than others for certain majors; e.g. UCSD is the best for Bioengineering.

And if you aren’t looking at academics, then its completely subjective. It depends so much on the person.

ucla

UCB
UCLA
UCSB
UCSD

I rank it by my major, art history
I ll be appreciate it if I get into any of the first 3…
but now all of my decisions are pending. Pray for me.

For me personally (if I were to attend, it goes from top to bottom priority):
UCD
UCSB
UCLA
UCB
UCI
UCSD
UCR
UCSC
UCM

am I the only weird person here who doesn’t idolize Cal or UCLA?

I kind of agree with you hanucol. I think that they are GREAT institutions but some people seem to think that means they are the only good UCs and that is obviously not true. And personally i’m a Trojan fan so I didn’t even THINK of applying to LA haha…

i didn’t for a long time. But I couldn’t ignore the famous philosophers that teach at those schools

1.Cal
2. UCLA
3. UCSD
4. UCSB
5. UCD
6. UCSC

The rest I don’t care about. I would go to UCSB though over UCSD because I like the campus and their programs better.

"For Business Admin/Econ/Business Econ (i.e. Business Friendly Schools)…My Preference

Cal

UCLA

UCI (Business Admin Major here)

In General (Academics):

UCSB

UCSC

UCR

UCM"

Riverside (sucks. HARD. Just a horrible place in general.)

Merced (haha… do i even need to explain this one??)
