how would you rank??

how would you rank in term of academics these schools:
University of colorado boulder
U of pittsburgh
indiana university
University of florida
university of washington
UIUC
U of arizona
I'm not sure my specific major but it will be something within the college of arts and science..

I don't know if this helps or not, but here is how US News ranks them:

University of colorado boulder 77
U of pittsburgh 57
indiana university 70
University of florida 47
university of washington 42
UIUC 41
U of arizona 98

I don't know much about the other schools listed, but UIUC's academics have a good reputation. University of Arizona has a reputation as a party school.

Illinois and Washington are the best of the group. Indiana and Florida follow. Pitt, Colorado, and Arizona are last.

Thank for you help..
so in terms of arts and science the rank would be:
UIUC
UW seattle
Indiana U.
U of Pittsburgh
U of colorado
U of florida
U of arizona
I'm sure i will be accept in all of them...I'm from Italy i don't know much about those universities( the most famous here are UW seattle and colorado) i just wanted to know how good they are academically...One last question ..what are the positives and negatives of each institution above?

No international is a shoo-in at public universities. Even if you have stats off the chart, they may reject you due to financial reasons.

What type of location do you want to be in? There is a lot of variation among those schools: colorado is quite cold, UIUC is in the middle of nowhere, in seattle is always rains, and so on.
