How would you self-study?

How would you self-study? Would you just study like a PR book? Or get a PR book and a textbook? Thanks. I'm kinda confused.

I'm planning to self-study Biology so if anyone can help me that would be great. Thanks.

It depends on the subject.

If I HAD to self-study biology (it's pretty hard), I would get Campbell's Biology textbook. It's pretty standard. I would probably read it cover to cover and take some notes. THEN, I would get the prepbook. (I think CliffNotes is good).

Hope it helps!

I'm inclined to agree with mrniceguy. I found the textbook + cliffnotes a perfect method for preparing for the AP exam; it'll be harder without a class, but it can be done (I helped my friend self-study because his original teacher was terrible).

I aced it with honors biology + SAT II prep. Just get CliffsAP, unless you haven't had a strong foundation in biology. In that case, get Campbell's textbook.

self study for AP test? or the SATII

I took Biology over the summer. The teacher made us outline things so I think I have a pretty good foundation in Biology. So would a prepbook be enough or should I get another book? Also what about like European History, Psychology and Statistics? Are they easy to self-study?

textbook + cliffs. You can do it on cliffs alone, but I'm the rare creature who thinks you should actually learn about the subject, not just for the ap test. :)

I've been taking practice tests and looking at answers. If I really wanted to know how to get the answer of something in Wr, I refer to Rocket Review or Grammatix. If its math, I post it here. if its CR, I just memorize the "logic".
