<p>Oh i was just a high school freshman in september and i wanted to get my journey to Top college success started on the right foot, so i'm searching around how to get into and ivy and the like, i find this website and after reading what Mr. Barry wrote about getting into an ivy i saw this forum and signed up days later, this place has been hugely helpful so far.</p>

<p>my friend was trying to convince me that kids actually try to "play the application game" and are very cut throat/competitve about college admissions. he brought me here to prove that he was right...</p>
<p>My story's kind of weird; one of my friends was severely depressed near the end of last year and was REALLY stressed about the whole college application process; he had his heart set on one school and insinuated that if he didn't get in, he might consider suicide. (Don't worry, he's over that now. Thank god.) I got scared and googled something like "college rejection suicide rates", which led me to CC. I started looking at other stuff, lurked for a while, and then got hooked. =]</p>
<p>Well thankfully I came upon this website in my latter stages, being done with testing and everything. I would freak out so much, worrying about my scores and ECs, etc if I had been on this site before SATs and stuff. I think I searched something about colleges... or financial aid.</p>
