I am starting this thread to get some knowledge on SAT essays.

in October SAT, i scored 10 on essay which i thought more than what i deserved (maybe my sense of humor made graders laugh and give 10?) but I am following the 10 days method which is to inject the examples according to prompt. I did exactly that and couldn't finish it on time. I had 3/4 lines left. how you guys get 12? just no grammatical errors, use unconventional examples, write without errors (I made 5 errors)? I will be really grateful if someone helps me out. really. I am taking the final SAT on December 7 and at least hope to take my chances for a 12 (760+)

Not sure about 12, but I got 11 on my last essay and 790 on writing altogether on the November test. My essay was far from perfect, and all the examples I used were “incorrect” because I made them up and/or twisted them to fit what I was trying to say. Have three points (real or otherwise) that really fit what the question is asking and try to make the paragraphs flow. That’s really all I can say. I did make up a template that I would use to start all my essays, something like:

“While some people think [opposite view] this is in fact wrong. [your view in a broad, long sentence]. Three examples of this are [summary of examples to be used in essay].”
