Some colleges offer scholarships to students who meet certain SAT/ACT benchmarks: https://www.collegeconfidential.com/articles/satact-score-can-help-get-scholarships/
This is information that should be communicated to parents and students during the middle school years. High scores can really pay off!
Where can I find a list of schools that offer merit based scholarships based on SAT scores? Thanks.
Freshman in high school would have been a good time to know to focus on upcoming importance of PSAT for NMF opportunity.
There are very few scholarships that are based solely on SAT scores. Most also use the GPA as a factor.
This thread is from 2017 so you really need to check the college websites to see what is still available.
Also, you can look under scholarships on any college website to see what that school has to offer. Just keep in mind that many are not guaranteed awards.
