vB code is kind of like html . . . you type those little brackets, etc. around your intended text like the other posters above and it'll come out bold, italicized, quoted . . .</p>

<p>smilies, on the other hand are pretty much common sense. Typing :<em>) without the * will come out as :), typing :</em>D will be :D, and so on.</p>

<p>Tracking messages is when you indicate you want to be notified if a PM (private message) you sent has been read.</p>
