"Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!! Howard is my dream school and although I’m a sophmore in HS, I’m working hard and trying to do my best in school in hopes of getting accepted when the time comes. The only thing that worries me is that I received 2 D’s for each of the semesters for Alg.2 & wanted to know if that would prevent me from getting accepted and if any of you guys that got accepted ever received a D , so i’d know that there’s still hope of getting accepted

Idk how CC works lol
Well I got in, and I got a D (74) in Honors World Lit and a 2 Cs (79) in AP Spanish and Honors Chem. If you have a 3.0 or higher, you should be fine. What really helps is having good SATs. Statistically African-Americans don’t do as well as other races on the SAT which basically makes it easier to look good among applicants SAT wise.

I’ve already been accepted to Howard but i’m waiting for them to receive my Dec sat score so that I can get the legacy scholarship.

What are my chances for receiving the scholarship and does anyone know how often Howard gives scholarships to people who re toke their sat/act & met the required score?

@Obinna – I would think so. However, Howard doesn’t check the mid-year report (at least not if you applied via CommonApp), so you have until the rest of the year to get them up to C-level.
