accepted! 10char

I just checked my status! It says accepted!

I don’t see where it mentions scholarship information though…

Yep…see it now. But Alm…where/how did you see merit money???

Maybe they are still loading information?

HSG

I applied to Hampton in late october using that “standard of excellence application” but I haven’t heard back. Did anybody else use that? I emailed their admissions office that I hadn’t received anything and they said that they’re too busy with an influx of applications to let me know so I have no clue if I’ve legitimately applied there or not.

@hsgrad my screen changed so that I had a page that says Financial Aid and then you have to go to financial aid status, select 2014-2015 and then it says you have uncompleted requirements and when you click the link for that it shows you what scholarship you got by saying "scholarship name here + contract. Mine says acceptance now as well!

Almeja, I applied to Hampton using the standard of execellence application…forgot I even applied. Anyway, I received 3 acceptance emails from them.

what does Inst Acceptance mean?

I’m pretty sure i’m accepted… does anyone know what exactly the “inst.” “offer” mean? haha

Alm…I did Hampton’s regular app, I think. It was way back in early Sept. and there and Pitt were the first two schools I applied to! I called this week too and they could not tell me my status but gave me the name of my admdin. person. I emailed her. Never heard back (asked her to let me know if anything else was needed after kids at my school said Howard and Hampton release on Dec. 20) back email just came about 1 hour ago.

Okay…back to Howard. I will check again and hope to see the new screen next!

HSG

Mine also says Inst Acceptance (offer)…

i’ve always thought “inst” stands for instant…so maybe it means instant acceptance?

Could be. At some large state universities there is automatic/instant acceptance with certain GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Maybe the same here??

Still…where’s the money screen???

I’ve yet to get anything from hampton but I would like to regardless of knowing I won’t be attending there. I thought inst was instant acceptance as well.

When i last logged in there was a third tab that said something like financial aid. Does everyone not have it yet? Maybe they glitched on my application. But if you know your test scores just go here and it should tell you what you got [Grants, Scholarships & Fellowships - Howard University](http://www.howard.edu/financialaid/grants_scholarships.htm) find the table.

They just now took out the “Inst” so it says Acceptance (offer)!!!

Alm…you were one of the first to see your decision so maybe the sites are being updated in waves. Hampton is a nice school but it did not fully click for me. But, this early in the game I am trying to be sure I have good schools that hopefully will offer me money. RD applications have my top choices…but I may not get in OR get the money, so I need to be prepared and open minded (my parents words)!
HSG

WHAT? Screen just changed to Acceptance (offer) and dropped the Inst. Guess they really are updating slowly.

My top schools were rolling/early action and so I’ve already heard back from all 3 and I’m fairly set. Now I just need to calculate which one gives the most aid/which one i get the nrotc scholarship to (i pray that I do get it). Almost all of my regular decisions are reach schools so I’m not as concerned but I thought it would be fun to apply to them.

just updated to the three tabs as well

same… “acceptance (offer)”
i still don’t see anything about merit aid though.

I GOT IN I GOT IN I GOT IN!!! Yayyyyyyyy omg yayyyyyy!!!
