Applying To Business Program
Marketing

Leybush, your in. Just visited the school this weekend. Nice school.

rlpak14 …how is the environment around the campus? I heard it was in a pretty rough area. I need to get there and see it.
Do you know if they let you know about scholarships with admissions? I know if I make National Achievement Finalist it is a full ride. But if I don’t make that, I am hoping for good money. I don’t know if I will go…I was not initially looking for an HBCU but heard good things about Howard and my parents made me apply to some schools that would give scholarships if I made Finalist.

To all, how is the Honor’s Program?

WestofGuam, I have seen your name on a few other threads with the fall fly in programs at various schools and I think the National Achievement threads. If I recall, you have great stats…if you go to Howard they will be glad to get you!

HSG

@HSG thanks! I hope Howard thinks so too. Good luck with NA!

Hsgrad : The environment around Howard was fine. The campus is almost entirely enclosed. It was only 3 miles to Georgetown U. and just a few miles from capitol buildings. 2 miles to Walter Reed Hospital. I was pleasantly surprised. Spoke to some of the students there and they were nice and helpful with directions.

Scholarship letter is sent after admission decision at least in my case. I have not received scholarship letter even though I was accepted in October. It is my understanding scholarship letters are going out this week.

You do not need to be a National Achievement Finalist to get full ride. You are also eligible for full ride if you have 3.5 GPA and 1400 SAT/32 ACT for the Founders Scholarship. The Capstone Scholarship is full ride minus the free food, and you only need 3.25 GPA and 29 ACT/1300 SAT so net cost is only $5K for food and books.

On My Application today it says decision made .I know I get something in the mail but do they tell you online or no?

No info on decision online. Only that decision is made. I had same problem so I called my admission’s officer and he told me the decision.

how do you know who to call? and how do you go about doing it?

Call admissions 202-806-2763

I got accepted omg

Congrats! What did you say when you called? I’d like to know as well

I called and he said I’d hear back around Christmas time, was it a man?

Congratulations!! @leyablush What did you say when u called? 'cause I really wanna know if im in or not lol. It’s killing meeeee!

I called and asked to check the status of my application and the person I was speaking to (woman) she asked me all my information blah blah and she told me that my application decision has been made and to wait for my letter. Then, I asked her if they are allowed to tell me if I’m accepted or not. She said no but then she said that when I receive my letter I will be very extremely happy and I was like really and she was like yeah. I was lucky… I called at like 1:30 ish eastern time.

AWW  ! Thats good lol.

what did you choose your major as?

Clinical laboratory science but I think I’m going to change it to biology. What about you?

Just received an email that says our decision will be viewable online after the 20th

Noooo to long!!! I can’t wait any longer

Did everybody receive a pin in their email today?
