Howard University does participate with the Common Application, so you can save time should you plan to apply to more than one college. The above link will give you the average SAT scores, as well as the requirements for applications.
The actual topic for the scholarship essay will most likely not be available for a couple of weeks. While you wait, you might pull together a list of your activities both in school and in the community and break them down by year-ie-Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior…and if volunteering or working-what average hours per month. This will help you be organized when you do fill out the application.
