Out of curiosity, and boredom induced from being on a plane for many consecutive hours, I'm wondering how you guys did your resumes.
I did mine the common app way. Here's an example:

Activity Grades Hours/Weeks Description/Achievements

Debate 9,10,11,12 4 Hours, 15 Weeks Selected as Captain

School Paper 10,11,12 4 Hours, 30 weeks Write and Edit Articles

Science Olympiad 9,10,11,12 3 Hours, 15 Weeks State Champion

So I just wrote the activity, grades, hours, and a short few sentences about the activity or what I do in it.

Do you think they prefer it that way, since its similar to the common app? How else did you guys do yours?

uh,oh Turbulence...

There's already a topic on this, and yes, common app is what I did.

the other one was on who sent a resume, not what kinds their are. I never saw a real resume before, so I was wondering what they looked like. For the descriptions, did people just use sentences?

I don't think it really matters. Just make it look neat and organized. I didn't even put my hours/weeks on the resume (they were on the common app).

nealious, i saw this thread title and automatically thought you were from texas. but i just checked your profile and i see it says youre from PA. since when do people from PA say "y'all"?

anyways, about your post- i say just follow the common app formula. it looks consistent and organized, though i dont know if you needed to put the amount of time you spent on each activity. oh well though; at least colleges will be able to see your hours. gooooooood luck!

ps, you must have an awesome laptop if you can do stuff on the plane. hopefully you aren't going to a tsunami-affected area
