just checked online and my Italian 4 teacher posted grades for that class...I got a 95 so that looks like one more A to add to the pile. Two more classes to go....I did have a nightmare that I got a B- in my Syntax class though.....lol. B- isn't that bad based on letter grade but when all those 2.75s are factored into my GPA, it makes a difference!

Still don't know about biochem, as that final will be 2/5 of our total grade and I'm on the edge right now for B/A, but otherwise I'll have my second straight year of a 4.0!!

Math classes wouldnt have that many students....I've had about 500 in my general chemistrys and almost that many in biochem

wow, 500? thats a LOT! I think the most kids i had in a class was something like 150 or so.

I checked online and all my grades are in except my literary Italian, which the teacher said would be late due to his medical problems......the supense is killin me! I got an A+ in Syntax which is quite relieving and since thats the hardest linguistics class I ever took in my life, it feels good to have done so well. I hope to get an A in Literary Italian, and if that is the case, it will be my first semester of all As....i guess it makes up for the W I got in another course.

a lot of classes at penn state have upwards of 200 people in one class.

i never had a class with more than about 30 people in it.. most classes hovered around 10-20.

I did pretty well besides one class. This just supports my hate for integrals.

MacroEcon - A+
English - A
Anthropology - A-
Math (Calc) - C+

Darn this. At least I did well in Econ, being that its my major and all.

Two classes are confirmed so far:

Computers: A
Public Speaking: A

I should have an A in Psych and Math. English could be an A or A- depending on how that final paper went.

Wow, is everyone already done with the semester and home? My exams don't start until tomorrow (and why I'm on this infernal website now, I don't know) and I don't get home until next Saturday.

I received 3 A+ grades, 1 A, 1 B+, and 1 B. I was expecting worst, so I am pretty content right now.

I hate you overachieving geniuses. I will accept my 3.0 with pride. Freshman year doesn't really count does it? lol.

You have plenty of time to raise your GPA but what I got from my counselors is that it is NOT LIKE high school.

Your freshman grades are just as important as your junior ones since they average them into your QPA and nobody looks at individual semesters.

but they will look at grades in your major vs. not in your major. And I'm pretty sure grad schools understand the transition period, especially first semester.

I am considering law school, but I don't really care about how prestigious it is. And I do have time to raise my GPA. As long as I get into law school somewhere lol.

Intro Anthropology- B+
Intro Microcomp- C
Intro Sociology- B-
Music Appreciation-A

Semester GPA- 3.0

I could have done better in microcomp and sociology but stupid me figured I knew it all and never studied.

Bio II- B+
Calc II- B+
Biomedical Engineering- A
Chem II- B-
Stupid B- ruins my GPA for the whole year avg. for sem was a 3.28. Boo.

Wow, I looked at that grade inflation site, and the small public that I'm going to be attending jumped up pretty high.

came out alive, what a tough semester...

Organic Chem II - C+
Genetics/Cell Biology - B+
Intermediate Calculus - A-
Constitutional Law - B
Chem Research/Independent Study - A
Weight Training - Pass

I survived also. . .with a 2.10.

Got a 3.5 at Brown, what a joke my life is.

ehhh, extremely bad. Won't get official final grades til next week, but these are my best guesses.

Sociology: hopefully B...I felt really confident on the final this morning.
Calculus II: C... Final is in an hour and you can tell that I'm too tired of studying since I'm on CC...lol
Writing: C+...already got this grade last week...I'm an engineering major, so screw writing!
Physics I: C...if I'm lucky! Really bombed the 2nd midterm
Engineering Freshman Academy: Pass...such a pointless class...I'm amazed I went to every class!

Expected GPA: 2.45ish....:(

Here at USC, the business math classes are about 100 each, while the engineering math classes are capped at 60-75.

Poetry: A
Intermedeate micro econ: A/A- (not entirley sure how I did on my last test... if I aced it I'll have an A and if I did mildly well I'll have an A-)
Stats I: A/A- (depends on how I do on the final which is on thursday)
Astronomy: A/A- (I took the final today and I know I have at least an A-... if I did better than a 90 on the final I'll have an A, but I'm really not sure)

overall I'm okay with that. I had 3 A's and one A- last semester, so I'd be a bit bumed to drop down but w/e. I'm aiming for stanford law school so everytime I see an A- that could've been an A I cringe just a little. . .

But then again i go to a public school so im not buying good grades,.

I think that's quite a sweeping statement.... there are a lot of private schools that cost less than public alternatives, there are also a lot of private schools that deflate grades and have large amounts of students like publics, so they are hampered when it comes to education quality.

Anyways, I think I did ok for Spring... predicting: A's in my business classes and A-/B+ in Psychology
