^ Yes, you did. There was a section labeled Date and sign on test day that had the following:
If you still have your Student Guide, check page 4.

They gave us a student guide? Ok, but exactly what are the test regulations? I was never informed of them. Either that or the teacher never read them to us.

^^

oh no… I don’t remember putting my home phone, but I remember signing it. I DO remember having to put the date though. Are you sure it’s the phone number?

I thought it was fairly easy.

^^ My test said phone number (I’m pretty sure they don’t mind us talking about this part :P), but there might have been a date. The Student Guide actually just shows a printed name category under the signature (???), so I don’t know for sure about that part.

The proctor should have threatened to execute you (or maybe just invalidate your test) if you did any of the ~10 things they forbid. One of those is discussing the content of the test prior to score distribution.

Maybe I just need to use Direct Hits?(reminds oneself that this is CC and everyone will think it’s easy)
^ O really? No, she just said as soon as we finish this we can all leave. In addition to that she talked about how we shouldn’t stare at people because we would be making them rush and hurting their futures. She never read of anything or threatened us though.

Proctor Fail

Hmm…well ok, I guess I’ll have to be considerate of the rules next time. I honestly had no idea we weren’t allowed to talk about it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention:)

made two careless mistakes on math…

hoping for

probably curve of 1 point on each
hope fore a 76+76+65 =217
but honestly anything above a 213/ enough to get me National merit Semifinalist stauts is awesome.

I don’t know what that says, sorry lol

I already took the ACT.

The ACT actually tests for academic knowledge, however in contrast, the SAT tests how well you can memorize 19th-century mid-english words, your ability to use trial and error to solve math problems, and how well you can judge if a sentence is most well written depending on what the college board thinks is the best (and the people who make the SAT live in an underground laboratory where they haven’t seen the sun or anyone else since 1900).

That’s why the American education system is so bad.

how do you already know , exactly how many you missed

The SAT is wayyy better than the ACT.

But as for how I did on the PSAT? I went out to breakfast with my friends. Sen10r, oh yeah.

Okay, as for how I actually did on the PSAT when it mattered, I’m NMSF and NASF.

I’m not really sure how I did, to be honest. I don’t feel like I studied nearly enough (though my parents swear that’s all I’ve been doing, haha), and this was my first time taking it. Plus I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. I wasn’t really counting on National Merit anyway (of course, I tried for it, but I’m not betting anything on it). Judging from the answers given in the thread compiling answers, I may have gotten an 80 on writing, which would be pretty cool :)

I think I made my state’s National Merit cutoff line knock on wood

I really want to get that scholarship, so here’s hoping!

^ woohoo , congrats !

^Don’t say to much until it happens. The funnest part is always getting significantly worse than you planned.

I was getting pretty cheery over the math part as I got the hard ones right and then I realized I mis-read the easiest math question (the spinner one) as equal to 8 and not atleast 8. So yea.

Silverturtle predicted I’d get a 230 after I told her which questions I got wrong (CR -2, M -1, W -2). I hope she’s right.
