How's Collegeville, PA as a city/town?

Safetywise, stuff to do, etc. Thanks.

Incredibly safe. The police station is adjacent to campus, campus safety is very cool and relatively vigilant, and to be honest, the town is too slow to have any real dangers.

And there really isn't a whole lot to do. The school does its best to provide transportation to and from Philly (and maybe the King of Prussia area as well, not sure), but other than that, there's not a whole lot. Within immediate walking distance of the school, there are numerous fast food establishments, two diners (one, I know, is 24 hours...oh god, I know), a Petco, 24-hour groceries, a Wawa (a real hotspot), and a few quaint little small-town shops. Without a car, you're pretty much in for a boring first year if you need to do stuff off-campus to have fun. If you have a car, though, all is well.
