I've got:
-Differential and Integral Calculus
-Game theory for freshman seminar
-Globalization through history
-Policy analysis I
-Computing
-The reality tv option for interpretation and argument

That knocks out 4 of my 5 freshman reqs and I'll take statistics second semester. Is this a good schedule? And also, I want to take Spanish but I don't want to be rusty by taking it second semester (I did take 5 years up to AP Spanish Lit). Or should I start on another language? I am already fluent in an eastern European language and I'm an IR major-would that be sufficient enough having those two languages? Idk if I want to continue with Spanish and become super fluent or try to pick up an Asian language. Should I switch policy analysis to second semester and take a language instead? Blahh!

A 300 level course as a freshman? That may be a little tough man. Try and take only 100 level classes at least for your first semester you don’t want to kill yourself studying.

^Haha oops? I saw it as an option for us to take on the freshman seminar list/description of courses. Why would they put it on there then? I was really excited to take it :(

But good call, maybe I’ll switch policy analysis to second semester then and take a language.

Yeah, it’s a freshman seminar, which is a freshman requirement in HSS. It may be 300 level but it’s intended for freshmen to take, so you can take it and the workload will not be too bad.

I think you’re good to go. I don’t see any problems there. It’s a pretty normal, run-of-the-mill first semester HSS schedule – don’t stress too hard about it :)
