How's the Communications Program here?

Does anyone know? I am interested in majoring in Communication and I was wondering how good it was here. Anyone currently enrolled in the program, or hear something about it? Thanks for any input!

again, does anyone know?

Twinkle_Toes,

I don't know much about communication at Stanford. It's probably not one of their strongest programs but you should independently verify that. Stanford is almost everybody's reach anyway, so I would suggest you to check out my alma mater - Northwestern :) (I did went to Stanford for grad school). It's easier to get in and their school of communication (note it's a not just a department, it's a "school", offering majors also in dance, film/tv/raido, performance studies, and theater) is one of the best. When you say "communication", do you mean "communication studies" or "communication science/disorder"? Or do you actually mean "journalism"? I find that people can get mixed up with the three. Northwestern has all 3 of them and they are all top programs. If you are not clear what the difference between them, you should check out their website and look especially at the course listings under each major. The undergrad communication program at Stanford is "communication studies".
