I need my milk everyday, preferably 2-3 cups for the uber calcium. But I wont be having a fridge to store any milk...... (no roomate)

So i'm thinking i have to buy some everyday. How much does the milk cost in the restaurants or stores on campus? How much comes in each bottle/container?

Yeah i know, this is probably one of the weirdest threads on this forum.

It's definitely more expensive than if you buy it at the store man. Too bad you don't have a fridge.

I've seen half-gallon cartons of milk. I'm sure there are also gallon containers out there. There are also smaller containers; which I'm assuming is what you'd be buying.

But if he buys the milk and drinks it in his dorm, then what's he gonna actually EAT for breakfast? I have the same problem, but I'm thinking I'll just keep PLENTY of paper cups/bowls for my cereal and milk in my dorm....

You can buy milk that does not need to be refrigerated in every supermarket in a variety of sizes. (Don't know how you would chill it though, maybe try to get complimentary cup of ice from somehwere?) Just a thought.

I drank about 3 cups of milk a day at school. A small carton of milk (a cup) costs $.85. If you get a glass of milk (2 cups) that costs $1.35. If you buy milk at Earl's Place, 4 cups (a quart? all I know is that it's 4 cups) I think costs $1.50 , so that's probably you're best bet, but you don't have a refridgerator. If you don't get a refridgerator and still want about 3 cups a day then buy a cup and a glass (which contains two cups) each day.

However, they jacked up how many meal points you are required to buy/have from 1800 to 2100, and I believe they did this because all of the prices of food in the dining halls will increase. So all of these prices I listed could change :(

I used plastic/tupperware bowls for cereal, and pretty much ate cereal everyday for breakfast. A lot of my friends used ceramic bowls. I actually borrowed a few glasses from the dining halls to use as cups :X
I would highly NOT recommend using paper cups/bowls for cereal and other food. It is very wasteful, and it's probably cheaper just to have a couple sturdy bowls/cups.

Just buy one bowl and wash it when you're finished with it. I don't see why that would be so difficult. In fact, you don't even have to buy one; just take one from your dining hall.

HAHAHA, there was a thread with almost the exact same title a year ago (when the class of 2010 was setting off).... except they were talking about a different type of milk...
