NYU is going to be my second choice (you could easily guess my top choice), and I'm really curious about the party/club scene here. I love to party, dance, and have fun with friends as well as new people, and I'm wondering if NYU has a lot of parties/clubs. Will I be able to enter decent clubs as a freshman or sophomore? What are the parties like and are there a lot of them (during the weekend I guess)? Just overall, can I have your opinions on the party/club scene at NYU? Thanks.

Not to bash or anything, but it is New York City sooooooooooo theoretically the social scene should be one of the best if not the best…

NYU is located in NYC…

You’ll have a very different experience at each of those schools …

UNC is a typically college. It’s got a campus, Greeklife, and sports. That means house parties, tailgating, and frattiness. NYU has NYC, fashion, culture, and angst. That means trouble with IDs, a vibrant club scene across the city, and five boroughs for you to explore.

Those are completely opposite. You’ll have an easier time meeting people and partying your way through school at UNC, but you won’t club or dance or rave or have such a constant lineup of events like at NYU. One’s basically a fratty experience and the other is more glamor. It depends on what you want.
