I'm applying to colleges this year and one of my main concerns about MIT is the social life.

I was wondering how it was over there. On collegeboard it also states that 55% of the students are men, and 45% are women. I was wondering if the higher amount of men is very noticeable. On top of this, I was wondering how you all would rate how good the women look :P.

I know, college is about education, and I'm planning on getting a very good education, but I also find it important to have a social life, make friends, etc. in college.

The split isn’t really noticeable – I mean, that’s 11 men for every 9 women. Not a huge difference. I’m female, and I was never really aware that there was an imbalance.

What I always say is that, no matter how good you look, there will be women at MIT who are way out of your league.

Nobody would ever disagree with this, and MIT has a very vibrant and diverse social scene. Of course, some might ask what making friends has to do with how good the girls look.
