What I mean is..You work hard for a certain amount of time and every now and then you go to a party or something and relax. So how's the social activity at FAU? I'm inclined to coming here if I get accepted.

I've heard about the Foam Party, which looks awesome; and the bonfire and such.

The best answer, though it feels like a non-answer, is that it’s highly variable person-to-person. People who are active on campus (especially if they live on campus), Greeks and people playing intramural sports have much better social lives than people who don’t.

The people who don’t have a good time here:
are socially awkward or buzzkills
treat FAU like a job you attend 9-5 and then leave
have friends at other colleges and use this as an excuse not to meet anyone, playing the victim card

This is your college experience. You make the most of it, you’ll be happy. I did.

As you may know, there aren’t Greek houses on campus (yet), so frat parties are at their off-campus houses. There are no “block parties” here. There are parties in the dorms (especially University Village apts and Innovation Village apts) and people’s apartments off-campus.

As far as big social events, you have:
Freshman Foam Party
Bonfire
Rat’s Mouth (student tailgating area before football games)
Homecoming week (Timucua Pageant, Concert, Comedy show, Fall Family Fest)
