On a scale from 1 to 10.

I love it. I give it a 10, hands down. Clean, safe, beautiful, new, homely.

I don't live there, but I'd give it a 7.5/10. It's honestly not the most beautiful campus in New England - the buildings aren't nearly as impressive as HYP or Wellesley, and the physical setting isn't amazing (i.e., it isn't on the level of Middlebury... it's sort of nondescript). That said it is a very pretty campus overall.

I was never very impressed with the campuses of either Harvard or Yale. I'd say Dartmouth is perhaps a little behind Princeton and around the level of Middlebury.

i think the library looks hideous. Everything else looks pretty sweet though.

Berry Library, I'll agree with. If you're talking about Baker, though, I have to disagree. That's unbeatable architecture.

100 - breath taking

Agreed on the library. Definitely sub-par.

in general the older buildings are pretty, old-fashioned, with a collegey, naturey feel. The lawns, the brick dorms with green shutters (mass row, gold coast), the giant trees, the "white buildings on a green hill" (dartmouth hall, etc.), the nice brick academic buildings (silsby, sanborn, etc.) are all very, very pretty. some of the new buildings, however, are kind of jarring. The blunt alumni center and the choates just look weird. The berry part of the baker-berry library looks kind of like a prison from the outside. (inside, it's nice). etc, etc. The overall feel is rustic and pretty with weird modern touches.

The murals in the library basement are pretty cool.

I think its very nice, but I've seen a couple of nicer colleges in terms of buildings (Emory and UNC). But when you add together the beautiful Connecticut river, the quaint NH town, Occum pond, ski slope, etc its pretty breathtaking overall.

you get some (but not full) sense from these:

Hmm... 6. I like Rollins Chapel, The Hop, and those arches on the downstairs entrance of Berry Library. Collis and Robo/Parkhurst are alright too. For the most part, everything else looks old and scrappy.
