<p>My school's football team is so much better this year than it's been in about 3 years. 3 years ago we made it to regionals but we just barely lost (literally by a couple points) by our rival. So far we've won all four of our games, including our last game against the team that has the best athletic facilities out of any of the public schools in this area, and is far, far wealthier than my school; they pretty much beat us at every sport. </p>

<p>Not so well..last year they made it to state and was 7-0 before losing. They were featured on many sports tv shows (locally and statewide..not nationally)..but this year their record is 2-1..hopefully that doesn't put them out of the running for district.</p>
<p>I'm still keeping up with my HS football team (Independence Patriots)- sad to say, it's more exciting than Duke's football team. :) </p>
<p>We've won the last 5 state championships, and our winning streak is currently at about 82 games, the second longest streak in the country. :D</p>

<p>OMG. I personally think it's because of the underclassmen (the big huge Italians) and they FINALLY let some good players actually PLAY. </p>
<p>We crushed Belleville :). I didn't believe that was even possible.</p>
<p>We are 1-3.....probably goin to be 1-9 before the the season is over since we play some of the best teams in the state in the next months or so.....

<p>Last year, we went 4-6 after going 40-1 the previous four seasons...we were voted out of our conference (smaller schools said that they couldn't compete with us) and joined a much more competitive one.</p>
<p>We beat Good Counsel, who was at one point ranked #1 in the area...We started out 3-0, but just lost 20-14(OT) to Gilman, the #1 team in the entire state. So we're not bad this year.</p>
<p>They're okay, but there's been a downward trend lately with them. Pre-season they were 2-0. Season record so far is 1-2.</p>
<p>Undefeated. Will be #1 in state after we beat the previous #1 at our Homecoming last Saturday. They stole our spot last year so...</p>

<p>We are 3-0, ranked top 20 in the state, and just beat our opponent Friday night 42-6. </p>
<p>We're averaging 35.0 points per game and giving up an average of 8.6 points per game.</p>
<p>So you could say things are going well for the Wellesley Raiders football team.</p>

<p>0-5 baby! Imagine my joy being the paper's sports editor.</p>
<p>Last week 'we' lost 47-0 to the fourth string of the state champs..... There is no hope this year of scoring a touchdown. We lost our football program two years ago because of lack of participation, and we only have 16 players this year. It doesn't really help that the school in general, including me, hates the football team..... but they still suck...</p>
