<p>it's cheaper than ibm, i've heard a bunch of bad things about dell, cheaper than toshiba, and i just don't trust acer or alienware or acertec (which all are the same price or more too).</p>
<p>besides specs, the dv1000 has some really convenient buttons (volume control, media control, on/off wireless...) below the screen and really nice looking neon blue lights with a slim design and widescreen. as far as looks it beat all the others hands down. but this wasn't my deciding factor, so don't worry.</p>
<p>so what are your opinions on it? is it a good laptop? i haven't ordered yet but i will by the end of this week.</p>
