<p>I think ive narrowed it down to these two choices.</p>

<p>What do you guys think for a better budget laptop for everyday computing?</p>
<p>Personally, I prefer HP. I had nothing but problems with my Dell when I had it, and the tech support was awful! The lady on the phone wanted me to open up my computer on my kitchen table right then and there. I find HPs are faster and more reliable than Dells (at least anything cheaper than Studio models with insane customization) and the battery life is much better, with more stable wifi. The only downside is my HP gets quite hot if im in bed with my laptop, so you might want to look into a cheep fan.</p>

Buy the newest 14 inch inspiron with an updated 2nd gen intel processor for $499
(the one you have above is the older one)</p>
<p>the default lid is black even though the picture has that ugly white one with a design, you’ll see what i mean.
