HPME possible?

I'll be applying to several BA/BS-MD programs, Northwestern's being one of the reach ones for me. Could I be considered a contender at all with these scores?

SAT: 2250
Chem Subject test: 760
Math level 2: 740

I do plan on retaking the SAT this fall, as well as taking the Bio subject test. Also, I'd say my resume of extra-curriculars/other activities is top notch, but looking at the averages for accepted students, I do know how much academics is stressed (Math subject test score is an obvious "blemish"). Any comments at all as to whether I'll even be considered would be nice.

Thanks.

the [first cut] app for hpme is super easy; you just have to mail in a postcard with your scores if I remember right. No essay or anything unless you make it to round 2. Go for it.

Your scores will get you an application (but do try to get that Math II score up if possible - I recommend taking the free online sparknote tests, about 6 of them I think.) 2250 is fine. To get an interview, your writing must be excellent and your ECs should be impressive. To get a spot, it’s all about how you can truly convince them, integrating your ECs, that you 100% want to be a doctor.

I did a bunch of practice tests, from both SparkNotes and elsewhere, prior to taking the Math subject test, and I never got below a 780 on any of them. It was just a bad test-taking day for me. I’ll definitely consider taking it again when I take the Biology subject test in November (I’m taking the regular SAT’s in October). Thanks a bunch for your help, guys.

Bio subject test isn’t necessary, so don’t sweat it. By that time you will most likely have millions of essays to write for apps, etc.
